925 Director

Myssi Brown
Myssi's life was changed while playing softball at FSU.  After playing professionally, she and Sterling married, and they have four children.  Together they provide leadership to the ministry.

As a former NCAA Division I student-athlete and coach, and chaplain to a professional sports team, I know first hand the power of sports to bring people together, inspire others to dream, and to influence the culture.  We are so blessed to have the opportunity to impact the lives of those in the collegiate athletic community while serving some of the most  gifted leaders on the planet.

GAME PLAN

How we will accomplish the vision is simple:  REACH. EQUIP. SEND.

1996 - Sterling began working as a strength & conditioning coach at FSU and helped lead start-up athletic ministry at FSU.

2002 - Started a student-athlete bible study with Steve Tamborra that is now 925 at Georgia Tech.

2009 - 925 officially began led by Adrian Crawford.

2010 - Sterling began 925 at Kennesaw State with two student-athletes hungry to see God move on their campus.

2012 - Sterling began serving as the Director of Character Development for KSU Athletics. 925 began gaining momentum.

2016 - Today over 200 people at KSU and GT are being ministered to through weekly meetings, equipping groups and weekly devotions.

ministry timeline

STERLING BROWN

Our lives were radically changed by God while playing or coaching sports.  Every week there seems to be a story in the news about an athlete or coach that has hurt themselves, others or their program because of poor decisions.  For the past 20 years, God has given us a burden to reach those in the athletic community and equip them to maximize their influence for God's glory.  He continues to do that today through the ministry of 925.

Steve Tamborra

Steve came to Christ while coaching at FSU.He has been at GT for 15+ years as a player development coach for the Yellow Jackets.  He is impacting lives spiritually as well as physically as he serves as director/advisor for GT 925.
